I felt old

I felt

pleasantly old

on the inside

it was

comforting

I’ve been

around the block

a few too many times

but that

is what made me

myself

woman pushing forty

years

been full of rage

been full of lust

felt it all

and it felt good

to feel nothing

for just
a minute.
